I'm only passing through...
In Everyone's Eyes
Published on March 23, 2004 By new-age nomad In Philosophy
My friend John is an aspiring clown. He carries around six tattered juggling balls all day and trys to teach anyone he encounters his favorite pastime. He has wonderful hair; it's rather fluffy and sticks straight out in all directions (it's part of his clown love). He comes to school every day with a new story for me about riding his unicycle and entertaining children around his apartment. He has a lot of character, more than most. I love John.

The other day in class, while he was juggling, I looked in my hand mirror and jokingly said, "Gosh I'm gorgeous!" He continued to juggle and let out a little snicker. I caught one of the flying balls and threatened to hit him in the gut with it until he told me I was beautiful. He refused.

He juggled with the remaining balls until the end of class when I threw the ball with all my might at his midsection. It hit him and he let out a small grunt. Right before he walked out the door he said, "Trinitie, you are beautiful...in someone's eyes."

Despite the initial hurt that rose up, I fell in love with that statement. Everything in the world is beautiful in someone's eyes, even if it's only Satan's. I like the idea that nothing, not one thing is completely ugly.

Trinity I want you to know that I think you are an amazing young woman with a great future ahead of you, I would like to take you out of your trailer park lifestyle and give you experience of the finer things in life. I have a lot of love to give Trinity, email me at sirpetermaxwell@yahoo.co.uk for a private chat

If you were here with me now Trinity I would serenade you with the following (please imagine me in full medieval armour singing this song)

Maybe I didn't love you
Quite as often as I could have
And maybe I didn't treat you
Quite as good as I should have

If I made you feel second best
Girl I'm sorry I was blind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

And maybe I didn't hold you
All those lonely.. lonely times
And I guess I never told you
I'm so happy that you're mine

Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

Tell me..
Tell me that your sweet love hasn't died
Give me..
Give me one more chance to keep you satisfied
I'll keep you satisfied

Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind.

Yours,

Sir Peter James Henry Maxwell IV

Wow! Way to go Trinitie. I think it's safe to say if it ever came down to it, you have plenty of choices. Don't worry, I'm not adding to it. I was actually going to reply to the original article if you don't mind me staying on track.

Janders -- you said something about looking like God somehow... I don't think we were physically created in his image. I always saw it as a way for him to say that we don't have to fear his apearence. It's kind of like how the angels are treated as beautiful creatures, when in reality they are hideous, scary, beings. If we want to say we look like that than I'm out. I think when it says we are created in his image, we just have a "form" similar to his physical apearence (Jesus). If we were created with equal or even almost equal physical atributes than that would put us in a situation to say we are better than or as good as God.
I think my pastor even made a lesson on that once. I heard my mom talk about it. I don't know though, even though I do agree with everyone and everything (except sin), looking beautiful to him.

I think that's just one of the many things that don't really matter Cornbread! Just smile and embrace a gift!
